One month to go!
Hello again.
I hardly believe that there’s only a month left until Heartache and Hope is available for preorder from Pride Publishing. In fact, you can see it in the coming soon section of their website. Guess what? I just happen to have a link for you: Heartache and Hope Coming Soon.
This has been an interesting journey, and I’m learning more each day. For instance, I’ve learned that I use “and then” a lot when I’m writing. My brilliant editor trained me in no time at all, to use either “and” or “then”. I was quick to learn after having to edit out at least 100 instances in H&H. Oh, and formatting is very important. Forget what I was taught in the dark ages about spacing between sentences. My publisher wants only single spaces at the end of a sentence, so yesterday I edited out approximately 3,000 of the little devils. But I learned, and last night I got rid of the double spaces in my latest manuscript, Heart and Home, before sending it to the publisher. Writer’s woes.
So, in case you were wondering what happened to Ubiquitous, it’s in limbo right now. Before I can get a commitment to publish it, Heartache and Hope needs to sell a few copies. With that in mind, any purchases would be genuinely appreciated.
I’ve also learned that leaving a review on Amazon, or Goodreads is a big help to an author. Your reviews help to move the book up the advertising chain, so that Amazon promotes them in their recommended read section. So help me out, or any of your favorite authors, and leave a review. Doesn’t have to be long, just sincere.
What else is going on? I’m currently proofing Heart and Home, and then it’s off to the publisher. I’m about 17,000 words into Hound and Harmony, and then there is Invisible, which is in the early stages. Ha ha did you see what I did there? “and then” So, maybe I don’t learn so quickly after all. What’s that they say about old dogs and new tricks? Hee hee.
Lastly, I now have a twitter handle, address, hash whatever. I’m still figuring out the tweetster, and don’t have all the jargon down. Tweet me or follow me @clettabooks.
Have a wonderful month, and I’ll see you soon.
