Starting the New Year
Good morning and Happy New Year. It’s been a month since we last visited, and what a month it has been. The writing world… my world was hit hard by the loss of Eric Arvin. Eric was not only a talented writer, he was an exceptional human being. He showed the us how to live with impossible challenges and to meet them with courage, grace and optimism. He was an inspiration. Eric was also a beloved brother, uncle, nephew and son which were the roles he embraced with an enduring heart.
In the midst of grieving, I had to promote not one, but two new releases. Heart and Home debuted with Pride Publishing and follows the story of Kevin and Raphael. You met them in July in Heartache and Hope. In March, Hound and Harmony comes out, completing the trilogy. You will finally learn about Robbie and meet Cassidy, the gruff ex-Army Sergeant with a heart of butter.
This week, I’ve been spamming my FB timeline with promos for Love’s Tethered Heart, from Dreamspinner Press. The feedback about my latest work has been humbling. Mico’s and Danny’s story is special to me, and so far, it seems others feel the same. From the reviews that have come in, this is my favorite line from The Book Breeze
I grew so close to these characters that the day after finishing the book I had the urge to give Danny and Mico a call to see how they were doing.
What a rush, to know I could bring my boys to life that someone wanted to check up on them. It is a compliment I will treasure forever.
What’s next? At this point I hope to keep writing and bringing the characters in my head to you. I’m currently working on three manuscripts and plan on having the first one completed by the end of the month. The other two are in the early stages, but soon my fingers will be flying across the keyboard telling stories of beautiful men in love.
