Random Reflections
Random Reflections on the past week.
It’s been an interesting week with much infighting happening within the community. There have been blogs and posts written by those far more eloquent than I, so I’ll not add anymore to the pot. Let me just say this, I empathize with everyone who’s been marginalized and will continue to support the LGBTQ community to best of my ability.
I have a few new gray hairs this week, having learned that my daughter and son-in-law have purchased motorcycles. Just the thought of her riding one on the streets of Albuquerque sends shivers up my spine. When I was nineteen, the boy next door died riding a motorcycle and since then I’ve not been a fan.
In other news, my puppy Polo, continues to grow and entertain me to pieces. He’s given treats twice a day and my youngest daughter taught him to beg when we were away last month. Now, whenever he wants something, he goes into his begging pose. He makes me laugh.
The world is on the brink of war, and it scares me. I pray cooler heads will prevail.
I bought a new album this week. It’s by The Carpenters and I love it. Their music is so romantic and the perfect accompaniment to my writing.
Was excited to receive my new business cards yesterday. I also ordered a shirt with my logo, so you can locate me at GRL. Speaking of GRL, it’s only six months away. It seems like I just returned from my first one. I’ll be there as a supporting author again, and hope to have one or two new releases out by then. At least this time, I’ll have at least four books out instead of just the one I had last year. I guess you could say it’s been a busy year.
That’s enough rambling for this week. Join me again next week for more Wonky Words.
PS: Buy more books
